Im Folgenden wird die Einbindung des AIFB in die Forschungsstrukturen des KIT dargestellt.
KIT Zentren und Schwerpunkte
Hartmut Schmeck ist Wissenschaftlicher Sprecher des KIT-Schwerpunkts COMMputation.
Die Professoren Oberweis, Stucky, Studer und Tai sind Mitglieder dieses Schwerpunkts.
Hartmut Schmeck ist außerdem Mitglied des KIT-Zentrums Energie und Mitglied des Leitungsgremiums des KIT-Schwerpunkts Mobilitätssysteme.
