New textbook "Internet Computing" published
The cii research group of Prof. Dr. Ali Sunyaev has published a new textbook entitled "Internet Computing - Principles of Distributed Systems and Emerging Internet-Based Technologies" in Springer Nature.
The book introduces the reader to the fundamentals of contemporary, emerging and future technologies of distributed systems and Internet Computing. In the first part of the book, basic concepts of distributed systems (e.g. distributed systems architectures, Internet architectures, web services, middleware) are introduced. In the second part of the book, emerging and future technologies of Internet computing are examined in more depth (e.g. Internet of Things, Cloud and Edge Computing, Blockchain/DLT). The textbook will serve as a reference book for students of the lecture "Applied Informatics - Internet Computing". It contains a wealth of examples, learning goals and summaries for each chapter, numerous recommendations for further reading and questions for checking students’ comprehension.
