Marc Heinrich studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Karlsruhe Institut of Technology (KIT). His focus during his master studies were on Control Systems, Automotive Engineering and Machine Learning. He wrote master thesis "Real World Reinforcement Learning for Vehicle Control on Latent Space Representations" in 2019 at ITIV.

Since June 2019 Marc Heinrich is Research Scientist at FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik in the Technical Cognitive Systems department. His focus is manoeuvre and path planning as well as control in the context of automated driving. Furthermore, he takes care of the research vehicle fleet.
