iMapping is a zooming based approach for visually organizing information objects. Heiko Haller erhält den Ted Nelson Newcomer Award auf der Hypertext 2010 der ACM SIGWEB
Heiko Haller, Mitglied der Forschungsgruppe Wissensmanagement, erhält den Ted Nelson Newcomer Award der ACM SIGWEB für seine Arbeit "iMapping – A Zooming User Interface Approach for Personal and Semantic Knowledge Management" auf der Hypertext 2010 Konferenz in Toronto.
iMapping ist ein Zoom-basierter Ansatz zur visuellen Organisation von Informationsobjekten. Er setzt auf semantischen Desktoptechnologien auf und dient insbesondere dem persönlichen Wissensmanagement. iMapping wurde entwickelt, um die Vorteile von spatial hypertext und anderen bewährten visuellen mapping Verfahren, wie mind-mapping und concept-mapping, die in ihrer ursprünglichen Form inkompatibel sind, zu verbinden. iMapping schließt die Lücke zwischen unstrukturiertem Inhalt, wie informellen Textknoten, und semantischen Modellen indem es Annotationen, von wagen Assoziationen bis hinzu formalen Relationen, erlaubt.
