Kurzfassung
The ICT profession has high impact on employment, business and society. The competitiveness of the European industry increasingly depends on both the effective use of ICT in industry and business and the level of knowledge, skills and competences of existing and new employees. This workshop aimed to discuss the state of play and activities of current initiatives and to draw conclusions on the way forward. The workshop is promoting relevant stakeholders to work actively together and is contributing to the current debate by inviting high level speakers and linking ongoing initiatives and activities. CEPIS organised this workshop jointly with Cedefop, the European Union Agency for the Development of Vocational Training, which is based in Thessaloniki/Greece.
