Sanja Lazarova-Molnar is a Professor at the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. In addition, she is a Professor with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark in Denmark. Prof. Lazarova-Molnar is a Senior Member of IEEE, and currently serving as a Chair of IEEE Denmark and Vice-Chair of IEEE Denmark Women in Engineering Affinity Group. Furthermore, she is a Director-at-Large on the Board of Directors of The Society for Modeling & Simulation International (SCS). She was also one of the Proceedings Editors for the Winter Simulation Conference 2019 and 2020, which is the largest and most reputable simulation conference. As of latest, her research focus is on data-driven simulation in various contexts and for the various simulation paradigms, and reliability modeling of cyber-physical systems, such as manufacturing systems, smart buildings and energy systems.
