Contact: Ali Sunyaev

Project Status: active

Description

The objective of the DLT4Life research project is to develop a secure and privacy-preserving, DLT-based data sharing infrastructure for life sciences. Such a data sharing infrastructure with DLT-based access control will a) give patients flexible, and individual control over the flow of their personal information and b) ease comprehensive data sharing among researchers. In particular, this project aims at developing a DLT-based architecture for a life science data sharing infrastructure, including the identification and evaluation of suitable DLT characteristics for a meaningful application of DLT for different life science applications. This research project is part of the Helmholtz Information & Data Science School for Health (HIDSS4Health) and is carried out in cooperation with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg.
