Kurzfassung
Thanks to the advances on the field of mobile computing nowadays it is possible to realize workflow systems, which provide support for mobile activities, i.e., activities which are usually performed in situations where no stationary computer is available. It is obvious that the integration of mobile computers into workflow systems has a great potential especially for companies with a high portion of mobile workers. However, so far there is a lack of modelling techniques that allow to express mobile-specific aspects of workflows. In the following article we therefore introduce an extension to activity diagrams from the Unified Modelling Language, which allows to model different types of so called location constraints. Such a location constraint is a statement that defines where a particular activity of a workflow has to be performed or is not allowed to be performed. The proposed technique in particular supports dynamic location constraints, i.e., constraints that are defined during the runtime of a workflow instance. Further, different classes of anomalies that may occur in diagrams according to the proposed extension are also discussed.
