Kurzfassung
This is the first in the series of reports on the evaluation of the impact of the NeOn
methodology in a range of selected categories on the performance of ontology
designers. The purpose of this report is to provide an evaluative, user-based
perspective on such aspects of the NeOn methodology as the use of ontology design
patterns, selection of ontology network life cycle models, and the support for ontology
specification and localization. In addition, we provide updated plans for more advanced
testing of methods supporting ontology reuse in the social context.
